Empowering Women Through Sustainable Beekeeping
We are pleased to introduce a transformative project that aims to empower women in underprivileged communities in Cameroon through sustainable beekeeping (apiculture). This project is part of our ongoing commitment to self-determination, environmental protection, and gender equality.
Why Beekeeping?
Honey is not only sweet, it creates income and hope.
Beekeeping is more than just honey production. It is a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and income-generating activity that can change lives, especially in rural areas.
Project Goals:
- Equip women with practical beekeeping skills
- Promote sustainable and organic methods
- Enable women to achieve economic independence
- Build local entrepreneurship and cooperatives
- Support environmental conservation through pollination

Strong Walls, Soft Hearts: Rebuilding Lives One Brick at a Time
The ongoing crisis in Cameroon has left deep scars in many communities, children who have innocently fallen into this plight are particularly affected. In Kumba, the Mah D orphanage has become a refuge for many of these children. However, the facility is completely overloaded with the growing number of orphans and can barely meet their basic needs.
The Current Situation
Currently, children, including children with disabilities, are living there in very difficult conditions:
- Overcrowded dormitories lacking privacy and comfort
- No proper kitchen – cooking is done outside in unhygienic and unsafe conditions
- No suitable facilities for children with disabilities – the building is not barrier-free
- No playground – children play inside, damaging windows and walls
- Inadequate space for learning and development
Our Solution
We are launching an important project: the construction of a new orphanage for the children of Mah D. This new home will include:
New Facilities:
- A safe, hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Well-ventilated and spacious dormitories
- Accessible facilities for children with disabilities
- A protected, child-friendly playground
- Learning spaces and classrooms for education and development
- Proper sanitation and hygiene facilities
- Safe, comfortable sleeping areas

Birth Certificates Save Lives – And Open Doors to Education
In many disadvantaged communities in the North West region of Cameroon, especially in areas such as Njikwa, many children grow up without a birth certificate. This seemingly simple document, which many take for granted, is the key to these children’s future.
The Problem
For primary school children, especially those in Grade 6, a birth certificate is mandatory to enroll in secondary school. Without it, their education comes to an abrupt end. In a region already severely affected by the ongoing conflict, this additional obstacle is a significant burden and reinforces the cycle of poverty and insecurity.
Why Birth Certificates Matter:
- Legal Identity: Establishes the child’s legal existence and nationality
- Access to Education: Required for secondary school enrollment
- Healthcare Access: Needed for medical services and vaccination records
- Protection: Helps prevent child trafficking and early marriage
- Future Opportunities: Essential for employment, voting, and accessing services in adulthood
The Challenge:
Many families face barriers to obtaining birth certificates:
- High registration fees they cannot afford
- Long distances to registration offices in insecure areas
- Lack of awareness about the importance of registration
- Missing documentation from parents
- Administrative complications due to displacement
Our Solution:
We are launching a comprehensive birth certificate registration program:

- Transportation Assistance: Help families reach registration offices safely
- Documentation Support: Assist with gathering required documents
- Awareness Campaigns: Educate communities about the importance of birth registration
- Mobile Registration: Bring registration services to remote communities when possible
